Our fundraising efforts help raise funds for our annual Survivor Support Weekend.
The Survivor Support Weekend is held every year at the Villa Madonna Retreat House in Rothesay, NB, where meals, accommodations and seminar facilities are all under one roof.
The Weekend gathers patients and survivors of women’s cancers from across the province for a weekend of peer support, education, and fun – organized, delivered, and presented entirely by volunteers.
Our goal is to help women who are diagnosed with, in treatment for, or are a survivor of a women’s cancer, address the fears they face during and after treatment.
Because our organizers donate their time and expertise to make the event happen, this is the weekend’s principal expense.
Because we do not have a dedicated cash intake, we rely soely on donations. It is through donations & fundraising that we are able to keep the cost accessible for women to attend. The cost per woman is almost $300. It is through your donations and our fundraising efforts that we are able to charge $125 per attendee.
